Gandapur Threatens Power Cut Asserts KPK Rights

WAPDA is mistreating our province, and the federal government is shirking its responsibilities. This is a grave situation that demands immediate attention. I want to clarify that if power from the national grid is reduced, I will not hesitate to turn it off.

Ali Amin Gandapur strongly disagreed with WAPDA’s actions and the federal government’s negligence. He emphasized that WAPDA mistreats Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also stated they cannot allow anyone, including the Federal Government, to trample on their province’s rights. As the government has failed to meet its obligations. He warned that should there be a decrease in electricity supply from the national grid, he would have no option but to cut it off to assert his province’s rights.

The Minister has brought to light a significant financial anomaly. The Federal budget needs to catch up to what is due to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These unpaid dues are not just a matter of principle; they are causing economic problems. The province has yet to receive those approved by the CCI (Council of Common Interests), further straining our already tight provincial budget. This is a serious issue that needs to be managed.

To combat load shedding

To combat load shedding, Gandapur has unveiled a comprehensive plan. His ministry and WAPDA will work together to install solar systems in areas with the highest losses. This is an essential step towards resolving the issue. They have allocated ten billion rupees for this project, which has a deadline of one and a half months. However, after the deadline expired, the federal minister did not respond and calls to Owais Leghari went unanswered. This lack of response clearly indicates the challenges we are facing in this fight.

He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the principles of the State of Madinah, emphasizing that. It is not just rhetoric but a guiding practice. He called for public cooperation, urging citizens not to damage WAPDA assets as they are valuable provincial resources. He also directed all Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) to visit grid stations and emphasized that. The Prime Minister should return the province’s money. Gandapur assured that there should not be more than 12 hours of load shedding in any part of the province. He promised to ensure that this limit is not exceeded personally.

The Chief Minister urged the public to monitor the situation, ensuring load shedding is within the 12-hour mark. He assured the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police would not file First Information Reports (FIRs) against individuals at WAPDA’s behest. This reinforces the fact that the provincial police are not subordinate to WAPDA.

He reiterated that ending load shedding is the federal government’s responsibility, which it needs to fulfill. He condemned the current government for holding power through a stolen mandate. And threatened to cut off the national grid’s electricity supply if necessary. He called on the public to stand firm for their rights against WAPDA’s injustices. Gandapur urged officials and parliamentarians to represent the public in this struggle. Highlighting the pervasive corruption in the current government, he described it as filled with theft and dishonesty.

Ali Amin Gandapur

Ali Amin Gandapur’s press conference was a stern warning to WAPDA and the federal government. He demanded fair treatment and fulfillment of financial obligations to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His threats to cut off electricity reflect his severe frustration and readiness to take extreme measures to protect provincial rights and resources.
