According to the police, on their way to the court in Kharian. Four people from Samrala village near Kakarali police station were gunned down near Ladian.

Irfan Numberdar Samrala, Atta-ur-Rehman, Muhammad Shehzad, and Sufyan Samrala were killed. When they were ambushed by armed attackers who opened fire at their vehicle as it reached near Ladian. All four died on the spot due to bullet wounds fired from close range.

Twelve people have been booked in a case registered on the complaint of heirs of victims against six nominated suspects and six unidentified accused. The suspects are Farooq Yousaf Samrala, Matloob Yousaf, Ahmed Farooq, Saeem Farooq, Khurram Younis, and Muhammad Younis. This incident was not carried out randomly but involved planning to target these individuals.
Police Response:
DSP and SHO of Kakarali police station and soon after getting information about the attack. They had their bodies shifted to Civil Hospital Kharian for post-mortem examination. Police promptly cordoned off an area to collect further evidence required during investigations.

Inspector General (IG) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident. And sought a report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala.
