The Election Commission has chosen officers from various departments to strengthen the election oversight. Ensuring they have a broad range of experts in their ranks. To achieve this, the Commission involves professionals from the Commissioner’s Office, Education Department. And Labor Department who take it upon themselves to ensure they deliver on election matters with the utmost care, precision, and integrity. In turn, these personnel carry their distinct abilities and experiences. Resulting in a more encourageable electoral system.
Strategic Placement Across the Capital Election
16 Returning Officers will be strategically placed across 125 Union Councils in Islamabad. They oversee polling stations and manage election staff, plus other activities stipulated by law. Placing these officials strategically aims to prevent any possible irregularities and provide timely solutions to any eventualities arising on election day.
Training and Preparedness Election
Apart from that, these officials are being trained specifically to acquaint themselves with fresh electoral guidelines and protocols. This is done by ECP to equip the ROs with skills that will enable them to cope with every situation during elections. It is part of their strategy for the conduct of elections that are free and fairer, not only transparent but also credible.

The leadership of these 16 Returning Officers also sets a precedent for future local government elections in Islamabad. And possibly even beyond it into other regions. In its endeavors to improve the electoral system, however, ECP took some proactive steps. While employing qualified officers from different sectors.
