CM Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a warning regarding electricity load shedding, stating that if the rulers do not understand, the public will come out and set things right.
Reacting strongly to load shedding during the Eid holidays in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chief Minister said that WAPDA is a federal institution and the federal government is taking revenge on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its people by reducing their electricity share. He mentioned that local WAPDA officials are cooperating to the best of their abilities, but the federal government’s electricity allocated to the province has been significantly reduced. A second meeting with the federal government on the issue of load shedding will be held soon.
The Chief Minister stated that the provincial government is absolutely cooperating with WAPDA on the difficulty of line losses. Still, the assurances given through the federal government have not been fulfilled. The PDM government, as traditional, is resorting to lies and incorrect information.
CM Criticizes Federal Govt for Unfulfilled Promises on Line Losses
Ali Amin Gandapur stated that proceedings are being received from diverse elements. The province regarding non-compliance with the weight-dropping agenda. The federal government must accurate its mindset in the direction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; we can no longer remain silent on this issue. We will talk with the federal authorities once more and call for answers.
He added that it is the responsibility of the federal government to address deficiencies in the electricity transmission system. We are fully cooperating, but the federal government is not reciprocating. The current government in the center is an illegitimate government, formed by stealing public mandate and produced by Form 47.
CM Gandapur said that those who have placed them in power should be told to correct their attitude. If they do not, the public will come out to set things right through democratic protests.
He warned that if the public takes to the streets. It will cause significant distress not only to the government but also to those who brought them to power. This distress will be felt far and wide.
