Islamabad: Chief Minister K.P Ali Amin Gandapur said he spoke with the Army Chief twice during today’s SIFC meeting. Still, the environment was not right for the discussion he intended to have.
After the SIFC meeting, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur addressed the media, emphasizing that the matter of Imran Khan is a top priority. Separate discussions are already underway on this issue. He highlighted that there is no need to discuss such matters in an inappropriate setting. Especially when the environment and opportunity do not align and other individuals are present.
Gandapur mentioned that Imran Khan is ready to negotiate for the betterment of Pakistan, and meetings with him can be arranged. He expressed optimism about achieving positive results soon.
CM Gandapur Calls for Immediate Federal Funds and Opposes FATA, PATA Taxes
The Chief Minister pointed out that the SIFC had a different agenda. He stated that foreign investment would be welcomed. During the meeting, he opposed the imposition of taxes in FATA and PATA and conveyed the province’s concerns. Gandapur urged the federal government to release funds to the province immediately, asserting that they would go to any lengths to provide relief to the public.
He further stated that if their dues were not paid it would be an injustice and they would impose taxes in their way. Gandapur praised the budget, calling it excellent and highlighting the relief it provides to the public. He assured that they possess both the vision and the capability to work effectively.
Moreover, he criticized the Punjab government’s behavior noting that its representatives are tarnishing their own administration’s reputation. Gandapur advised the Punjab government to avoid actions that exceed its jurisdiction.
