Chairman Senate Advocates CPEC Investment, Tech Transfer

 

According to Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has emerged as a catalyst for funding, technology transfer, talent development, and records sharing between the 2 international locations. He said this even as a speaker at the Sustainable Development Report 2023 launch rite, which was prepared by means of the China Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan (CCCP) and the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).

Yousuf Raza Gillani underlined that the government knows about the challenges faced by Chinese companies and personnel working on different CPEC projects and provides foolproof security to Chinese nationals. He elaborated upon various steps to ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders involved in CPEC.

Confidence in Pakistan’s Future

Chinese Minister-Counselor Yang Guangyuan expressed confidence in Pakistan’s bright future. He said that within three months of the new government’s operation, all economic indicators had shown remarkable improvement. Yang added that China would continue to support Pakistan’s economic development and stability through CPEC and other collaborative initiatives.

Vision of Shared Prosperity

Minister Planning Dr Ahsan Iqbal said that CPEC is a vision of shared prosperity. Its second phase will bring prosperity and develop the country and the region. He stressed that under CPEC, collaboration would enhance regional connectivity and economic integration, which would also benefit all participating states. Prime Minister’s Coordinator Romina Khurshid Alam said that CPEC is a strategic reflection of the One Belt One Road Initiative; thus, she emphasized its significance for world trade promotion and global economic cooperation.

Commitment to Mutual Benefit

Wang Huihua, CCCP Chairman Senate, observed the completion of different projects related to CPEC. Including Gwadar Port development, which manifests Chinese commitment to mutual benefits. He added that these initiatives aim to create a win-win situation for Pakistan and China. Fostering sustainable economic growth and long-term stability. Wang also mentioned the need for continuing work to overcome challenges that lie. The way of the successful implementation of various projects planned under CPEC.

The event highlighted the strategic importance of CPEC in deepening Pakistan-China bilateral relations. The participants reviewed gains made so far and resolved to achieve shared objectives related to economic development and regional prosperity through continued collaboration backed by mutual support.
