This Monday was the eighth death anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, and Kashmiri people remembered him. Many programs were held throughout the world, including both sides of LOC (Line of Control). And the Kashmiri diaspora, to pay homage to his struggle as commander for freedom.
Complete Shutdown in IOJ&K Burhan Wani
On the day, the occupied valley observed a complete shutdown. All shops, business establishments, and public offices remained closed as a mark of respect for the martyrs who laid down their lives for the right to self-determination led by Burhan Wani. A significant event took place at Muzaffarabad on Friday evening organized by different political and religious parties under joint banner of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Azad Jammu & Kashmir chapter. Dr Mushtaq Khan Jamaat Islami AJK Emir, besides others addressed who paid glowing tributes to Burhan Wani Shaheed and other Kashmiri martyrs laying down their lives against Indian state terrorism occupiers on our soil while demanding the right of self-determination enshrined UN resolutions about India’s illegal occupation over Jammu region since October 1947 till date.
