Atta Tarar Slams PTI Rally: “Much Ado About Nothing

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, harshly criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally that took place some time ago in Lahore. The much-publicized rally was an underperformer to him, and he likened the results to the phrase ‘tempest in a teapot’.

PTI Rally Disappoints, Says Atta Tarar

In an official address, Atta Tarar made it clear that it was a great letdown, notwithstanding the excitement and restless anticipation of the rally. The difference that most concerned Tarar was between PTI’s promises and the situation on the ground. Observers noticed that PTI leaders, like Ali Ameen Gandapur, mastered bravado during the Lahore rally.

Notably, ‘There is no reason why PTI should have any expectations from its government. But we came here only hoping the legitimacy-draining march would inflict some discursive wounds on the general establishment.’ We were looking forward to the PTI rally ‘We Well Were’ today. People converged from the whole of Pakistan; however, despite this great effort, the event did not achieve the kind of influence PTI leaders had pledged. The roads of Lahore were especially utterly open, but the rally still disgracefully failed. Just as their previous politically motivated gathering in Islamabad, the Lahore ruckus also did not stand up to zealous expectations.’

No NRO for the PTI leadership Atta Tarar also highlighted some reasons why in political activity. They are requesting NRO for their leader, but it is not forthcoming. They are unreasonable, and the government cannot handle unnecessary demands,” he commented.

Panic in Pakistan PTI – March 31, 2014 Atta Tarar

The difference that concerned Tarar most was between the promises made by PTI and the situation on the ground. It was noticed that, aside from other tactics, PTI leaders such as Ali Ameen Gandapur mastered bravado during the Lahore rally. Gandapur and others also presented the rally as if it would be a decisive nail in the grassroots-level offensive and consolidation of their movement. However, this is where political analyst Atta Tarar states that the reality was the complete opposite.

“Their main focus was to have grand preparations for the Lahore rally, and Ali Amin Gandapur, you incessantly gave out pictures of the great boast. In the end, lei died without being born b b,” Tarar remarked. He had previously applied a more graphic description of the end product akin to “a mountain being scooped and the reward obtained is a mouse” and did so again. The idiom illustrates none other than the erection of the fanfare for the cause, which, let us be honest, in the end, is very little or nothing at all.

Public Rejection of PPTI’sPolitics of Division Atta Tarar

Tarar also took this opportunity to stress the people’s standing regarding PPTI’s politics of chaos and division. He maintains that the citizens of Pakistan have rejected the notion of politics that PTI parades around, which is based on unnecessarily agitating the people and splitting them the country’s population.

“The public has rejected their politics of chaos and division,” Tarar asserted. Tarar stated, “Those claims that they have made very high have been exposed, and the movement’s nature is obvious to the people. The people want peace and togetherness, not more trouble.”

Rally Attendance and Logistical Failures Atta Tarar

Atta Tarar notes that one of the most prominent indicators of the rally’s failure was that there needed to be more people in the audience, even though reverse logistics were considerable. He argued that PTI had made fans come to quicken the pace of the rally, but even with such means, several individuals stayed away. In his opinion, this was clear evidence that support for PTI was on the decline.

Criticism of Latif KKhosa’sComments

Apart from these concerns of the rally, Participating in the rally, Atta Tarar condemned especially the remarks of Latif Khosa, a member of PTI, who made chief justice remarks. Khosa made ill-fated remarks on the judiciary during the rally that Tarar found inappropriate, and he expressed that. He said that there is no such tolerance to such statements, and the state is totally against it, that is why I say this, without any assault on the judiciary, it is offensive to the functioning of democracy.

“Latif Khosa’s comments regarding the Chief Justice and the remarks during the rally were quite bad, and we fully condemn them. Such opinions are not welcome in our politics,”” he said.”

The Waning Power of PTI Atta Tarar

In his closing remarks, Atta Tarar noted that the Lahore rally was another sign of PTI’s waning power. The party never compromised on organizing a huge political event but couldn’t garner the support it desired. The minister’s appraisal in this regard expresses the ongoing struggle between the ruling party and the PTI political party to win over the people.
