Asif Kirmani, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has voiced strong concerns regarding the birthday celebration’s decision to accept the modern-day authorities and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). During a TV interview, Kirmani emphasized that the PML-N did not earn the people’s vote on February 8, stating, “The humans did not provide their vote to PML-N.”
Kirmani expressed discontent with the management dynamics inside the birthday party, claiming that the PML-N inadvertently expanded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to prominence. He remarked, “In these instances of rampant inflation, it’s tough to peer how the government can set up any balance. Given the current events, it appears unlikely that the government will achieve any significant success.”
Critique of Current Political Landscape
The PML-N leader criticized the quality of individuals currently involved in the party, suggesting that many newcomers lack a genuine connection to the PML-N’s foundational values. “What type of individuals who have no real ties to the PML-N have come forward? Some have shifted from other parties without any allegiance,” Kirmani lamented. He argued that the party should have remained in opposition due to lacking a majority, questioning how the PML-N would propose constitutional amendments in such a fragmented political environment.
Asif Kirmani noted that if the PML-N were to abandon the current government. It would be perceived as fleeing from responsibility. He likened the coalition between the PML-N and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to a forced marriage. It’s like a girl and a boy who disagree. But the judge insists on marrying them; it’s a compromise marriage.”
Predictions for the Future of the Government
Kirmani further asserted that Nawaz Sharif does not believe in forming a coalition government. He suggested that if a majority were present, Nawaz Sharif would have taken the prime ministerial position. He predicted that if the government did not resign voluntarily. A coalition including the PPP, PTI, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would emerge to form a new government.
T lamented that the party should not have reached the point where members like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi felt compelled to leave. Kirmani criticized the current government for failing to protect citizens, saying. The government has subjected people to shocks from exposed electric wires. While they have reduced the price of bread by 4 rupees, they have imposed a 4,000 rupee tax on us.”
Asif Kirmani’s comments mirror massive dissatisfaction with PML-N’s current political method and governance. Elevating pressing questions on the future route of the birthday celebration and the stableness of the authorities in Pakistan.
