Qaiser asserted that the numerous cases against PTI founders lack legal validity and are driven by political vendettas, resulting in their incarceration.
Asad Qaiser criticized the government’s contradictory technique of advocating for negotiations while concurrently beginning arrests and criminal proceedings. He questioned the feasibility of significant negotiations under such circumstances and voiced scepticism about the government’s sincerity. According to Qaiser, Shehbaz Sharif’s statements about negotiating with the government merely serve to paint a facade of a problem for the country without a genuine motive for mutual talk.
Qaiser emphasized that Shehbaz Sharif and his allies have yet to fully commit to engaging in constructive dialogue. He called upon the government to create a conducive environment for meaningful negotiations, including releasing imprisoned PTI leaders. With concrete actions from the government, Qaiser argued, it would be easier for PTI to place trust in any purported negotiations.
Meanwhile, PTI founder Achakzai urged for dialogue, stating he would not obstruct such efforts. He noted that the government holds the initiative to commence talks but questioned with whom such negotiations should occur, pointing out that specific individuals need more authority to engage effectively.
