Arshad Nadeem Wins Gold; Judiciary Sets Record; Bilawal on PTI

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly criticized the judiciary during his speech at the National Assembly. He pointed out that a particular institution repeatedly interferes in parliamentary affairs. Bilawal stated, “Our judiciary not only delivers justice but also builds dams,” adding that no judiciary in the world can compare to Pakistan’s. He sarcastically remarked that while Arshad Nadeem won a gold medal, the judiciary broke world records by granting seats to the PTI as if they were candies.

Bilawal continued his speech despite interruptions from opposition members, who created a commotion during his remarks. He criticized the judiciary for its dual role, noting that while it manages to set prices for tomatoes and samosas. It seems to lose its sense of justice when it comes to upholding the constitution and law. He emphasized that institutions must work within their constitutional limits and that the ongoing interference by one institution in another is a crucial reason for the visible distance between them.

National Assembly Session and the Visit of Imam of Masjid Nabawi

During a similar meeting, the Imam of Masjid Nabawi, Sheik Dr. Salah receptacle Muhammad, the Saudi Minister to Pakistan, and their designation went to the Public Gathering procedures. The meeting started with the Imam discussing the Quran. The visitors were situated in the guests’ display to notice the procedures. The assembly members met the Imam’s presence with great respect and honor.

Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif expressed his gratitude for the Imam’s presence, stating that it brought blessings to the assembly. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also welcomed the Imam, the Saudi Ambassador, and the delegation, acknowledging their significance.

Bilawal’s Comments on the Political Situation

Bilawal criticized the current political environment. Stating that hatred and division are at an all-time high, leading to increased inflation, unemployment, and poverty among the people. They lamented that politicians remain embroiled in conspiracies and conflicts while the nation faces these challenges. He urged that political battles be fought within the framework of politics and not allowed to escalate into hatred and division.

They also addressed the opposition, questioning whether he had stolen the PTI’s electoral symbol. Pointing out that the judiciary had given the PTI seats as if distributing candy. He argued that such decisions had political implications. That they should have been made only with clear legal grounds.

Bilawal stressed that progress will remain elusive until the country adopts constitutional, legal, and democratic methods and institutions operate within their constitutional boundaries. He called on political leaders to avoid inflaming division and to work towards creating political space for addressing the country’s challenges.

Opposition’s Response and Address by Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Opposition Leader Omar Ayub responded by stating that he had refrained from speaking out of respect for the guests. He criticized Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s remarks, noting that they were unbecoming of a former foreign minister.

He apologized for the interruptions during the session and stressed the importance of refraining from domestic political debates in the presence of such eminent guests, including Arshad Nadeem.
