Originally under the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) control, this inquiry has now been handed over to FIA. Mr. Durrani allegedly made unlawful appointments in the Pakistan Public Works Department (Pak PWD). Concerned about what he called an “investigation,” Zahid Durrani – son of the former minister – said both NAB. And courts had seen through their previous investigations on this matter; however, Zahid believed them politically motivated. He also pointed out that even though it was claimed there were illegal appointments at Pak PWD, no evidence could be found against any individual, including Akram Durrani, by NAB after conducting such detailed inquiries, which means all facts should have come up then only, so why again now?
