Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan, has once again proposed forming a national government. He emphasized that all political parties should unite. And sign a charter dedicated to public welfare, committing to respect the democratic mandate. And promoting tolerance across the country.
Independence Day Address
While speaking at a press briefing held at MWM central secretariat in Islamabad. He outlined his thoughts about the Independence Day celebrations. He also noted that the caucus had received a political party from Sindh. Which will visit Sindh for the return of the constitution days after. The oppressor and the oppressed are still entangled in a struggle. Achakzai mentioned that if any person does not support the oppressed, then they should question their faith.
Rejection of Governmental Participation
Additionally, Achakzai revealed that Nawaz Sharif (the former prime minister) had offered him a position in government. Which he respectfully declined. He emphasized the need for wisdom and new beginnings for Pakistan by stressing that despite 70 years. It has failed to offer free education to its people. Instead, poor people don’t get any real stuff while a huge amount of money is spent on purchasing votes.
The Constitutional Crisis and Rule of Law
Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, Chairman Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, also spoke when he stated that there was no constitutional governance in Pakistan for many years. For him, unless the supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law are established, the country’s situation will not improve. The current suffering and hardships facing people have been related by him to the lack of rule of law, pointing out that real progress and public opinion can only be achieved when there is zero tolerance towards any violation of our constitutions.
In summary, both leaders underscored the importance of restoring constitutional order and prioritizing public welfare, calling for a collective effort by all political parties to bring about meaningful change in Pakistan..
