PM Shehbaz Sharif Honors Soldier Haroon William

 

According to PM Shehbaz Sharif. The Pakistan army has always protected the country. Who have laid down their lives innumerable times throughout history while defending it.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) held the funeral of Soldier Haroon William. Who sacrificed his life for the nation in the Kurram district at St. Paul’s Church in Rawalpindi. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and federal ministers attended the ceremony.

The ISPR reported that zzz appreciated the services and sacrifices of the Christian community in national defense. Army Chief General Asim Munir paid tribute to the sacrifices of Soldiers Haroon William, Anosh Rufon, and their comrades.

Tribute to the Martyrs PM 

Soldier Haroon William, 29, hails from Islamabad. Federal ministers of defense, interior, and information attended his funeral.

Speaking at St. Paul’s Church in Rawalpindi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic incident resulting in Haroon William’s sacrifice for the homeland. He emphasized that the army chief, officers, the government, and the nation salute these great heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Recognition of Minority Contributions

The Premier alluded to a speech by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on August 11, in which he made it clear that the rule of law and constitution shall reign supreme in the state and that all citizens will have equal opportunities to live by the law.

He recognized the Christian community’s contributions to the Pakistan Air Force, Navy. And Army, saying they have written history with their blood. He remarked that it is a lesson for all of us today that alongside millions of Muslims, other minority communities, including Sikhs and Hindus, have also served Pakistan. He praised the Christian community’s remarkable contributions to education and various fields of life, mentioning that he was educated in a missionary school.

Reflection on Past Events

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif admitted that some events in the country’s history have left bitter memories. These heart-wrenching incidents require a collective response as a nation. He emphasized that we should learn from the past and work together to serve the country.
