X posted beautiful footage on their microblogging site today. A video taken from above shows Sheikh Mahdi Bura giving the Adhan while flying in a helicopter a few thousand feet above ground level in Madinah’s Masjid-e-Nabawi. His voice echoed through the atmosphere, enchanting all those who heard it.
Start of Hajj Rituals AdhanÂ
Mina echoes with Labbaiks as Hajj rituals begin. More than two million pilgrims will flock to the Arafat plains today, where they will listen to Khutbah Hajj at Masjid Nimrah. After spending the night at tent city Mina, pilgrims will move towards performing one of the most important acts of pilgrimage: staying on the plain land of Arafah.
Hajj Sermon and Prayer Arrangements
The Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Haram, Sheikh Maher Hamad Al-Muaiqly, will deliver Khutbah al-Hajjah, translated into 50 languages, including Urdu. Arrangements have been made to receive the Hajjaj at Masjid Nimrah, the second largest mosque in the vicinity after Makkah’s Grand Mosque. On the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (today), thousands of worshippers will jointly offer Dhuhr and Asr prayers at Masjid Nimrah.
