Saudi Investment Minister: Visit to Boost Pak-Saudi Relations

 

Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, expressed his delight about the prospect of enhancing relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia after his recent trip to Pakistan. While speaking at the Pak-Saudi Business Forum, he appreciated the benefits of the interactions between the businessmen from the two countries, calling the trade delegations productive and fruitful for future partnerships.

Meetings Were Successful at the Pak-Saudi Business Forum

While presenting at the Business Forum, Al-Falih clarified agreements and MoUs in the context of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship. He referred to the foreign visit as an intermediate objective to improve bilateral relations but chiefly tilted towards the business sphere between the two countries.

The business delegates from both countries actively attended the forum and held discussions to maximize the cooperative potential. Al-Falih remarked that such interactions are likely to improve trade and stimulate new investment opportunities for the two countries.

Signing of MoUs

His visit was fruitful, resulting in the conclusion of 27 MoUs between the two countries covering various areas. They include energy, petroleum, textile, construction, transportation, cybersecurity, but also spice exporting, vegetable, and skill development. Such agreements are expected to significantly deepen the level of economic relations.

Collaboration Between Main Sectors

Countries emphasized the energy and petroleum sectors as they saw opportunities for integrated economic growth in these areas. The experts say that the textile and construction industries will additionally take advantage of the execution of these arrangements, with the prediction that exports from Pakistan will increase while Saudi Arabia will enjoy quality goods.

The Saudi Minister equally pointed out other areas where there is a need for partnership such as Cyber Security and Technology industries, to grow the digital economies of both countries. This partnership is expected to significantly boost technology development and enhance the ability to maintain secure digital systems.

Pak-Saudi Relations Have An Optimistic Future

Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih noted that he hopes that these agreements and MoUs will change the course of the relationship forever between the two countries.
