Mohsin Naqvi Contact with Liaquat Baloch on Sit-In Deal

In what might be of high interest to the political circles, a telephone discussion at some point took place between Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi and Liaqat Baloch of the Jamaica-e-Islami. Interaction such as this comes at a time when Jamaat-e-Islami has been aggressive in making its demands over electricity tariffs and demand charges.

Governing Delegation Set to Proceed to Jamaat-e-Islami Headquarters

During a telephone discussion, Liaqat Baloch stated that Mohsin Naqvi and Information Minister Atta Tarar would visit Jamaat Khilafat Headquarters in Mansoorah to address the update on additional agreed-upon demands. The meeting aims to bridge the gap between the government and the opposition and ensure accountability in implementing the agreement’s provisions.

The stance of Jamaat-e-Islami Towards The Government

jamaa Islah also continues sustained pressure for the faithful to observe the terms of the accord reached with the government of mc Talib. Their most notable demand remains the abolishing of all capacity charges incurred on the households as they deem this as being punitive to the people. They have also sought the reduction of the electricity tariffs so that the people can be spurred by the soaring prices.

Liaqat Baloch is of the view that Jamaat-e-Islami policies are consistent and the government must take these issues in hand as there is no more time to lose. Reducing the electricity tariffs is one of the issues in the course of the ongoing political talks with the ruling party.

Solutions for IIUI Students

During the call, Mohsin Naqvi assured Liaqat Baloch that he would answer the questions posed by students at the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI). This assurance is long overdue, given that students have raised numerous issues relating to the academic and administrative structures within the university.

Jamaat-e-Islami has always complained of a lack of access to education and has always joined head in the fight for the rights of students across the country. The students at IIUI regard the Minister of Interior’s commitment as satisfying, and they appreciate the party’s efforts to advocate for issues affecting them.

Simple plain speaking shows that some negotiations are still ongoing between the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and the leaders of government as during the telephonic conversation between Mohsin Naqi and Liaqat Baloch. The awaited visit of the government delegation to Mansoorah and good commitments regarding electricity tariff issues and student issues allow us to say the nation is only planning further actions. Execution of development action plans with the success that Jamaat-e-Islami has achieved is likely to leave lessons for other nations that accept political parties’ holding the government to account for their deal.
