In a recent rally, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur remarked that the KP government is supplying solar power to every corner of the province. Still, the citizens should keep in mind that they are the ones who have paid the taxes, and it is not the assistance from the government’s side.
Address at the Inauguration Ceremony KPÂ
While addressing the public at the inaugural functions of developmental activities at the Circuit House in Dera Ismail Khan, a province of Pakistan, Ali Amin Gandapur pronounced, “I tell the people of the province that it is wrong to take electricity by stealing and to enjoy solar energy as well.” He stressed the need for honesty and obligation to the people.
Call for Civic Responsibility KPÂ
In his speech, Gandapur requested the people to assume the role of stewards of the development projects. He asserted,’‘ You are my team, and your responsibility is to protect these development works. Bribing is an act that can only be referred to as evil and is mainly given by morally compromised people. Do not take advantage of others for your causes.’
Enc’uraging Honest Behavior
The Chief Minister urged the population to join the government team by advocating for integrity and avoiding corruption and crime. He observed, ‘This is what I reque’t from the people of this province, that you lend your efforts towards the government. If you must be hot for a while, it is better than being in an air-conditioned room applying stolen electricity.
Emphasizing Accountability
K’zama Ali Amin Gandapur, during his discourse, emphasized the reasonability and citizenship responsibilities of the people of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He educated them on the fact that there are solar panels and many other facilities the government is trying toimplemente. Still, the citizens should effectively utilize these and not engage in vices such as power theft, which only hinders the growth and development of the area.
The Chief Minister’s address is an appropriate Minister’s timely reminder of the public resources management issue as property is fixed as finance property with utmost responsibility. The provision of solar power by the KP government is indeed a move in the right direction regarding development. Still, it can be successful only with the correct values and cooperation from the people. Responding to the call made by Gandapur is a message of how important it is for the people to be active in preserving and advancing the society to which they belong.
