PTI Postpones Tarnol Rally New Date Set for September

 

Islamabad—The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has delayed its planned rally in Tarnol, Islamabad. Which was supposed to be held today after declaring they would go as scheduled even without the local administration’s permission. Imran Khan, the party’s founder and chairman. Who is currently in jail, instructed them to change the date following this news. The statement issued by PTI also hints at the possibility that the government may have wanted an excuse for unrest.

Preparation for the Rally Continues PTI

Imran Khan wants all PTI workers to prepare for rallies and demonstrations, mobilize people and maintain momentum. A new date will be announced soon.

Umar Ayub, Azam Swati and Barrister Gohar met with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, where they discussed this matter, among others, before finalizing their decision about postponing it; however, Umar Ayub confirmed that Imran Khan directed them to 2change it & said he would communicate a new plan soon to afterwards.

New Date and Permissions

Chairman Barrister Gohar has said it will now be held on September 8 or 9 in Islamabad. On Friday evening, though, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tariq Ahmed summoned PTI Information Secretary Ahmed Jawad to his office along with other officials from both parties as well as security personnel present there, including DSP City Circle Jamshed Iqbal Shahzad Khan Bhatti SHO Police Station Kohsar Inspector Khalid Mehmood to deliver notification granting NOC for holding a public gathering at F-9 Park organized by PTI on Saturday. September 8tSeptember 8till 7:00 pm under certain conditions mentioned therein.

Conditions for the Rally

According to a notification issued by District Magistrate Islamabad on Friday evening. Initially, NOC was cancelled due to protests by religious groups against certain activities carried out during PTI’s August 22 raAugusturity will be provided for it on September 8. September 8 specified in his notification that participants of the gathering should not infringe upon the fundamental rights of any citizen. While en route or at the venue; the meeting is scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM and conclude by 7:00 PM. And rally organizers must ensure peaceful dispersal after its termination. Moreover no person shall be allowed to stay within premises after termination of this event being conducted on SeptSeptember 8turday.
