The Director General of Pakistan Post has formed a committee investigating the recruitment process for more than 4,000 vacancies. This measure intends to promote transparency and address concerns about potential malpractices in the selection process.
Committee’s Composition and Responsibilities PakistanÂ
Comprising three Grade 20 officers, the investigation committee will cover multiple regions such as Islamabad, Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, and Azad Kashmir. The group has been assigned several vital functions:
- Confirm if the number of employees hired surpasses the advertised vacancies.
- Unearth any recruitments done using counterfeit documents.
- Confirming adherence to provincial plus merit quotas during hiring.
Regional Investigations PakistanÂ
Balochistan and Sindh
Assistant Deputy Director General Ahmed Iqbal has ordered specific investigations into recruitments in Balochistan, Metropolitan Circle Karachi, Northern Sindh Circle Hyderabad, and CCS Karachi. Manzoor Ahmed, Postmaster General Sindh & Baluchistan, shall oversee these inquiries.
Punjab
Postmaster General Punjab (Irum Tariq) will be in charge of investigating recruitment within Northern Punjab Circle (Rawalpindi) and Central Punjab Circle (Lahore). She will review the practices for hiring employees in these areas to ensure they adhere to agreed guidelines.
Islamabad
The authorities asked Muhammad Zaheer, Postmaster General Rawalpindi, to investigate recruitment at Pakistan Post Office Headquarters. He will verify if the headquarters conducted fair recruitment based on advertisement criteria.
