23 Arrested in Swat for Blasphemy-Related Lynching Incident

 

In Madain, the town of Swat, authorities have arrested and shifted 23 individuals to an undisclosed location. They are charged with burning a man alive for blasphemy.

Incident Details:

According to the police, these people were involved in attacking the police station and in various acts of arson linked to this. While talking to media persons, DIG Malakand division Muhammad Ali Gandapur said that they identified suspects through video footage, adding that a case has been registered against 2,000 unidentified persons, and their arrest is being made.
